Description

With questions about whether or not Russell Wilson is holding onto the ball too long, if the offensive line is struggling to hold off the pass rush or receivers are getting open, Adam is digging into this week's tape to see what the biggest problem was in Week 2. Pete Carroll was called out on his post game comments about Chris Carson and now says he was wrong and that the plan was to give Penny carries in the fourth quarter. The guys talk about some moves from this past week that caused a stir. With problems of depth at linebacker, Seattle signed Mychal Kendricks after he was released from the Browns following his guilty plea for insider trading. Defensive tackle Tom Johnson was waived from the team to make room for a safety who didn't even play, which was curious considering the team's struggles to rush the passer early this season. Pete Carroll explains part of the thinking behind the move. Andrew Guzman, Cowboys fan from the Common Ground Football Podcast, joins the show this week to talk about how Dallas has looked through the first couple weeks of the season. He explains why Prescott has struggled to this point in the season, and how some of the injuries on the offensive line are contributing to the inability to move the ball early on this season. The Cowboys pass rush is looking good now that their second-year defensive end Taco Charlton is creating pressure opposite of Demarcus Lawrence. After the interview, the guys take a look at Ben Baldwin's tweet on a sequence in the game before the Russell Wilson interception in the game against the Bears. Based on that sequence, fans are suggesting that a power struggle could be brewing between the Seahawks quarterback and the coaching staff. Pete Carroll is aware of the questions surrounding the timeout and says it was simply because the offense wasn't lined up correctly. The show closes with a discussion of the Bucs quarterback through the first two weeks of the season and his memorable press conference.
