Conditionings, memories, traumas and beliefs meld together to form a conceptual self identity. When reality is perceived through the filter of this conceptual 'me', a distorted reality is perceived and experienced, which affects how the perceiver reacts to life circumstances and relates to other people, largely creating suffering and chaos.

By enquiring into who or what is aware of thoughts and the sense of the individual 'me' it becomes apparent that there is a deeper 'me' beyond any idea, experience or concept. This is pure consciousness. It never moves or changes and its very nature is peace. When reality is perceived from this perspective, problems and suffering fall away and external life effortlessly aligns with the harmonious, abundant nature of the True Self.
