They also mention the importance of thoughtful and meaningful gifts, or which holds sentimental value. The nurses express their frustration with gifts that are patronizing or lack appreciation for their hard work.
 

Nurses Week should be a time to appreciate and celebrate nurses, but many hospitals give out thoughtless, insulting and often misogynistic gifts.
