Carl is an addiction psychiatrist, bioethics scholar, and assistant professor of clinical psychiatry at Columbia University. He is a Zen practitioner, and his clinical work focuses on applications of meditation and mindfulness. Carl also hosts the Flourishing after Addiction podcast.
