Melissa was born on July 10, 1985. In 2009, at the age of 24, she went missing from the Bronx, New York. She worked as an escort, and her disappearance raised concerns among her family and friends, who reported her missing to the authorities.In December 2010, the remains of Melissa Barthelemy, along with those of several other victims, were discovered in the vicinity of Gilgo Beach on Long Island. After her disappearance, a number of phone calls were made to Melissa's family, especially her younger sister Amanda.
