?There's one very important man who entered Leo Fender's life in 1948. It wasn't until years later that Divine Music Intervention struck and brought Forrest White back into Leo Fender's life a 2nd time. Leo didn't know how badly he needed Forrest, but Forrest ended up being one of the greatest things to happen to the Fender Electric Instruments Company. Forrest's journey didn't end with the purchase by CBS in1965 either... Forrest and Leo continued their friendship and partnership along with another man named Tom Walker as they embarked on a (arguably secret) endeavor with Leo to continue manufacturing high quality products in lieu of CBS' downward spiral with the Fender brand.
