Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old girl from Houston, Texas, was tragically found dead in a creek on June 17, 2024. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences determined her cause of death to be strangulation. Further investigation revealed that she had also been sexually assaulted.Two suspects who are in the country illegally, Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, have been charged with capital murder in connection with her death. The suspects were identified through surveillance footage and were apprehended by the Houston Police Department on June 20, 2024.Jocelyn had reportedly snuck out of her home the night before she was found.
