The Boston Red Sox erupted late, blasting the Miami Marlins 7-2, and beating the Fish for the second straight day at Loan Depot Park in Miami. ----- 'LIVE' Instant Reaction from Jim GRIES Grieshaber ----- Ceddanne Rafaela doubled and tripled- driving in three runs- to lead the Red Sox attack. Rafaela also hit a three-run home run last night. The #9 hitter in the Red Sox lineup has six RBI's in the two games of this series so far. Bryana Bello (Bry-an Bay-oh) scattered seven hits- all to right field- giving up just one earned run in 6 2/3 innings, striking out seven Marlins and walking just one. The Red Sox played great defense behind him. Three of Boston's runs scored on balls that did not leave the infield- Rafael Devers when shortstop Xavier Edwards slipped and fell on an easy ground ball, Masataka Yoshida on a dribbler that Trevor Rogers bobbled, and Yoshida again on an RBI groundout, a beautiful diving play by third baseman Emmanuel Rivera. Devers added an RBI triple in the ninth inning. Yoshida had two hits and two RBI's for the Red Sox. He is seven for his last 13. Connor Wong also had two hits, extending his hitting streak to 17 games. The Red Sox had twelve hits and seven walks, and they were just 5-19 with runners in scoring position, as the Marlins' pitchers played with fire all night. Jesus Sanchez drove in Jazz Chisholm, Jr., in the bottom of the first inning, one of Sanchez's three hits for the Marlins, who went 1-9 with runners in scoring position. The Fish added one more in the ninth, when Rivera drove in Xavier Edwards on a sacrifice fly. Huascar Brazoban pitched three scoreless innings of relief for Miami, taking over after starter Trevor Rogers threw 84 pitches in three innings, giving up five hits and two earned runs, striking out five and walking three. The Marlins and Red Sox will finish up this three-game series tomorrow, with first pitch set for 1:10pm ET.
