Today is Independence Day, the national celebration of U.S. independence. It marks the anniversary of adopting the Declaration of Independence from England on July 4, 1776.
We pray for peace, justice, and truth and ask the Lord to strengthen and bless America and make it a haven of liberty and justice for all born and unborn.
For families and friends, the Fourth of July holiday means fireworks, parades, flag-waving, picnics, and patriotic food.
As Catholics, we can make the celebration much more spiritual and profound!
