About this series
The fourth episode of Scow Truck, written for students to perform as part of a media production class, finds the Scow Ship Second Prize ordered to an asteroid known as "The Wart" to explore it as a possible garbage dump. Crock inadvertently proposes marriage to a beautiful native girl and the ensuing mayem is reminiscent of a Laurel and Hardy comedy.

This unabashed parody of Startrek and the sci-fi genre contains such forgettable characters as the Chief Custodian, commander of Scowfleet, Crock, captain of the Secondprize and his crew: pointy eared Spook; engineer Shorty; radio officer O'Hara; Dr. DeCoy; GAL, computer with an attitude; linguist Rosetta Stein; and weapons officer Blaze Starr (the bimbo in spandex.) In episode-1, Captain Crock, swindled Klakon raiders into accepting Manhattan's garbage in exchange for safe passage. Home again, the Second Prize is ordered to clean up the space junk orbiting earth. They vacuum up a Chinese satellite and are attacked by nanobots, who nibble away at the ship and reproduce themselves from the ingested material. Can they manage to escape destruction?

This episode of Scow Truck finds the Second Prize Trapped in a Klakon trash compactor while being threatened by the Bogus Collective. Once again, they must free themselves using the old "rubber garbage" trick, or is it the "rubber robot" trick? Tune in and find out. Oh, and don't forget to order your very own life-size cardboard cutout of the bimbo in the spandex jumpsuit!

Matt Sorensen is a pseudonym. It's taken from my Danish grandfather's first name (Matthias) and my grandmother's maiden name (Sorensen). They were proud, hardworking immigrants like the ones talked about in chapter 5 of my book "In the Bowl of Night." I was born in 1933 and served in the Navy during the Korean War. I write technical articles under my real name, Paul Honore', and fiction under my pseudonym. People ask me. "Why?" It's explained in my Smashwords interview.
