About this series
"Uprising: Kinkaid in the West Indies" is the exciting second book of the Jonathan Kinkaid series, where Kinkaid's daring and proficiency are tested to the limit when he is given command of the lightly armed brig, Swift, of 12 guns. Ordered to deliver a diplomat bearing a copy of the Declaration of Independence to the Dutch free port of St. Eustatia in the Caribbean, his mission seems easy enough. But then why have they taken on over 100 muskets and heavy weapons? All Kinkaid is told is that he must assist a major of marines with a secret assignment that takes them to the wet, steaming jungle island of Dominica, inhabited by cannibalistic Caribe Indians. As if this and the might of the Royal Navy weren't enough to contend with, Kinkaid must also gain information of any pirate activity in the Caribbean that might interfere with American shipping.
A story of strange allies and astounding deceit, of happy times followed by terrible heartbreak, where the tinkling of champagne glasses is followed by the roar of cannons in the blink of an eye, "Uprising" is rousing, fast-paced sea-going adventure in the Winston style. Cover art by the author.

- The Treasure Ship: Kinkaid and the Alliance
In this fifth volume of the series, our intrepid captain is given command of America's premier warship, one of the finest ships ever produced during the Revolutionary War, the large and powerful 40-gun frigate Alliance, her mission to deliver 100,000 Spanish milled dollars from the Caribbean port of Havana, Cuba to the coffers of Congress. Needless to say there are many forces that hope to grab this fortune for themselves and others would be just as happy to ensure it never reaches American shores. From the wind in the rigging to the roar of broadsides; with colorful characters, both old and new, as well as unexpected guests and surprising events, The Treasure Ship has everything one expects in a Kinkaid adventure, and more.
- Hazardous Duty: Kinkaid with the Northern Fleet
"Hazardous Duty: Kinkaid with the Northern Fleet" finds Kinkaid in command of the 18-gun sloop of war, Ranger, tasked with scouting duties for the Continental Fleet in this third volume of the Jonathan Kinkaid Series. Braving not only the foul and frigid weather of northern waters, Kinkaid must contend with an inexperienced crew, a badly leaking ship, and personality clashes among senior officers; one of them being the bold and aggressive John Paul Jones, in command of the Frigate Alfred, not to mention trying to evade a strong and powerful British force that hopes to trap and destroy them in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. - The Lake War: Kinkaid with the Inland Fleet
It is 1776. The first battles of the American Revolution have just been fought and a large British army has just landed at Montreal and means to push down the chain of lakes to split the colonies. The only thing standing in their way is General Benedict Arnold's ragtag bunch of Continentals, militia and seaman at the bottom of Lake Champlain. Although this book is listed as the sixth volume of the series, it is a prequel and takes us back to Kinkaid's first assignment as a Continental naval officer, when he is sent up to the New York woods to advise Arnold in the building and fighting of an inland fleet of gunboats to stop the British advance.

- Tidings of Victory: Kinkaid in Europe
"Tidings of Victory: Kinkaid in Europe," is the fourth volume in the Jonathan Kinkaid nautical/historical fiction series, where our daring American Navy Captain and his seagoing patriots take the news of our great victory over the British at Saratoga to Benjamin Franklin in Paris. The plot thickens when Kinkaid is reunited with characters from the first two novels. Filled with spies and saboteurs, intrigue and villainy, this masterfully written tale is another triumph of high-seas adventure in the Winston style, as a more confident and newly married Kinkaid wrestles with his own demons as well as enemies of the cause. Giving the reader everything you loved about the first three novels, from the sound of booming cannons in ship-to-ship battles to a bold rescue mission of American seamen from an English prison, this is a fast-moving tale that reaches a brilliant and unexpected conclusion.
- Independent Action: Kinkaid in the North Atlantic
"Independent Action: Kinkaid in the North Atlantic" is the first book of the Jonathan Kinkaid nautical fiction series that follows an American naval officer during the Revolutionary War and introduces our hero as he serves as First Lieutenant aboard the American frigate Randolph of 32 guns, blockaded in the port of Philadelphia during the winter of 1776-77. Tasked with orders to undertake "independent action" in the frigid waters of the North Atlantic against a mighty British convoy, the "Lucky Randy" manages to elude enemy warships long enough to transform her crew-from the crusty boatswain O'Toole to the teenage midshipman Billy Weatherby-into an effective fighting force. A story of the fury of the sea and the waste of war, of brave but fallible men and boys who find themselves in dire straits, of history and the building of character, "Independent Action" is fast-paced, old-fashioned, high seas adventure at its very best.
