While Mo waits for the slow moving insurance adjuster to approve the cleaning of the Sinful Inn, she takes on a desperation job. After three days with Fortune, even Merlin the cat is on edge. So when Ida Belle learns from Delta Davis that her brother, Skinny Davis, is off blowing his huge jackpot lottery winnings, she gets Mo a job cleaning Skinny's house. As it turns out, old Skinny isn't so lucky. Her first night on the job, Mo finds him propped up in his outhouse, dead and stark naked, except for footwear. By the time the police arrive, Skinny has disappeared, and he's found drifting in a rowboat on the bayou the next morning- without the footwear. Did the "suddenly eager to help" neighbors kill Skinny for the never cashed lottery ticket? They offer Mo a share of the winning ticket and she plays along, hoping to find the truth behind Skinny's mysterious disappearing act. When the crap hits the fan and the dirty truth finally comes out, it's up to the women to save the day. And they do with the style and flare only Sinful women are capable of.

When Moses May Murphy left Sinful, Louisiana after graduating high school, she had no plans of returning. But part two of her life- after those awkward high school years- should have been better. Especially in California. Boy, did she get it wrong. Leaving the flaming wreckage of a failed marriage and a failed career (plus that incident which almost sent her to prison), Mo decides to start over in Sinful. A disastrous case of mistaken identity on the trip home follows Mo all the way to Sinful. She can't seem to shake the bad luck. Like the traffic stop by smoking hot State Trooper, Tony Reese. When it becomes too much for him to handle, he sends her on her way to let the mess be cleared up by Sinful Deputy, Carter LeBlanc. But "Little Mo" isn't the same woman who left all those years ago and Sinful sure isn't the same quiet little town. Mo needs the help of Ida Belle, Gertie, Fortune, Carter, and Tony to figure out what's happening in Sinful. And she learns that going home isn't such a bad thing after all.

While Mo prepares to move into her newly cleaned room at the Sinful Inn, the unexpected happens. Construction workers at the other end uncover a body buried under the concrete. Five years ago, a rich and influential couple, Clyde and Lovena Lane, tried to buy the Sinful Inn. Eugene turned them down, and Clyde disappeared. Everyone thought he died fishing on the bayou. But now Clyde's back, as a corpse and Eugene's is the prime suspect. In a series of events that make Mo's head spin, she finds herself running the Sinful Inn, while Eugene awaits trial. To get Eugene off the hook and save herself from the fiasco at the motel, Mo enlists the aid of her Sinful friends.

Eager to move out of the Sinful Inn, Moses May Murphy enlists the help of Ida Belle and Gertie. Surely, they know of housing a woman in Mo's position can afford. Or do they? Just when Mo doubts them, they take her to a little gem of a house and it's right up Mo's alley.   Unfortunately, the previous owner died under conditions only Mo considers suspicious. Darlene was a terrible cook, so no one questioned her death from a burning casserole. But Mo knows better, and it doesn't take long to convince the Sinful women she's right. The real problem is persuading Deputy Carter LeBlanc and the banker to open an investigation. To catch a killer the reluctant Mo agrees to be part of a sure-to-backfire plan of action that sends her to the Swamp Bar looking for answers where she finds out that, yes, things can get worse!

Mo finally has a place of her own. It might be empty but that's easily remedied. Then a date/shopping trip with Tony to New Orleans ends on a sour note. By the time it's over, she's spent most of her money- but not on household items. Gertie, ever eager to help, decides Mo needs charitable donations from the good people of Sinful. Soon things appear in Mo's driveway and her house becomes a drop off for donations of every sort. Including something desperate thieves will break into Mo's house for. Between the action at Mo's house, her peeping neighbor, and Ida Belle having an unexpected dilemma of her own to deal with, things in Sinful can only get worse before they get better.  

The grand reopening of the Sinful Inn is just in time for the annual "Cast and Catch a Fortune" Fishing Tournament. The top prize for Big Bass Sunday is $10,000 and Gertie's determined this will be her year. The contest draws anglers from all over. Guys like Juan and Carlos, who are staying in the newly rebuilt room at the motel. While making the bed in the next room, Mo overhears a disturbing conversation, due to inadequate insulation.   When Fortune learns the real identities of Juan and Carlos, she has to act. The perfect time? Big Bass Sunday. The perfect place? The bayou. The perfect plan? Well... the plan is solid. The execution of the plan? Not so much. With a unique celebration at the Mooneys, Big Bass Sunday (when the rigid Sinful rules relax), and a plan gone sideways, who will catch the men? And will Gertie finally catch a fortune for the biggest bass?

Mo has a successful advice column in the newspaper. But when she receives threatening letters and a mail bomb, maybe her advice isn't going over so well. Especially when detectives from the New Orleans Police Department show up to question her about a murder and the method used to clean the crime scene. It looks even worse when Carter and Mo discover she knows the man suspected of killing his wife. But is he the one sending Mo the threats? Or is it someone from her past life in California? Who wants her dead? With an inept agent on the mail bombing case and the NOPD looking into her life, Mo needs to rely on her Sinful friends for help.

When a dead man turns up in an industrial waste barrel just outside Sinful, it worries Ida Belle and Gertie. The shady Houston businessman had a reputation for underhanded and dirty deals. With his newly established hazardous wasted disposal company, and the many land purchases he'd made in the area, was he up to his usual dirty deeds? Was his body left as a warning or was it a hasty disposal? Gertie contacts a reporter who's been hot on Dirty Dudley's tail for years. But things don't turn out as expected when the reporter shows up and gets arrested for murder. It's up to the Sinful women to catch the real killer, even if Mo has to sacrifice her dignity in the process.

Encouraged by her half sister, Jonah, Mo decides to search for her real father. To her surprise, Grannie Annie left a shoebox with clues about who that man might be. The problem isn't following the clues. It's the residents of Sinful, who aren't happy that Mo is opening the box into her past and possibly digging up some of their own skeletons. With her friends, helping and hindering, Mo tries to take another step forward in her life. But maybe she should have listened to the women when they warned her to watch where she steps.

Things are heating up for Mo and Tony, and Sinful might be just a little too hot for Mo thanks to Carter's slip of the tongue. As she considers Tony's offer to live in Faultless, Minnow and her new husband make a sudden and surprising move to Sinful. Meanwhile, Gertie's Cadillac has taken far too long to repair, so Ida Belle decides it's time to visit Honest Abe's and give him a tune up. Unfortunately, Abe's is raided and shut down by the FBI before Gertie can retrieve her Cadillac. A look at the fine print in the contract Gertie signed with Abe sends her into hiding and her friends to the rescue. Minnow soon finds herself right in the middle of the usual Sinful mayhem, and Marc? He wonders if Sinful is really hell.

When Mo and Tony try to figure out how to get married under the radar, it turns into a typical Sinful disaster. Meanwhile, Mo's sister Minnow has her own troubles. She and her husband already have a full plate trying to open their new business and sell their cover to the residents of Sinful. But a murder after the grand opening of the fitness center leaves Minnow as the prime suspect. As the Sinful women work to find out who really killed Tabby (the stripper dance instructor) Jo offers her help. Along with Ida Belle and Gertie they find more trouble than answers on the way to solving the crime.

Jo Jeffries is hoping for a quiet week to study for her upcoming real estate exam. Unfortunately, she can't even get a quiet night when midnight vandals make it clear she isn't welcome in Sinful. But who is trying to force her to leave? And why? With Ida Belle and Gertie helping, Trixie hindering, Ross interrupting, and Carter interfering, Jo needs to find the culprit before she goes insane—or broke. Authors note: This is Fan Fiction. Being Sinful, things are bound to get worse before they get better.

A tropical storm blows through Sinful, leaving a mess and a casket in its wake. Ida Belle and Gertie are there to check it out first, but there isn't a body inside--only a diamond ring and evidence that the corpse might not have been alone in the casket. Jo, Minnow, and Mo join forces with Sinful's spunky senior sleuths to figure out what happened. But then the body is put back, Minnow is assaulted, and the body is taken--again. Obviously, someone wants that ring, and it isn't poor little old Birdie Stockton, the deceased. Jo's sure there's a thief on the loose and the investigation leads them to new heights (Mo's hair) and lows (crashing a funeral).    Meanwhile, Minnow and Marc attempt to sort out their relationship while Jo faces her looming housing crisis.
