Bardo Trilogy Series

The soul we go to know In the Between didn't go to Heaven.  Too much karma. She accepted reincarnation and selected her new parents. Immediately, as The Beginning Begins, she discovers she’s not alone.  The soul sharing the womb is well known from prior incarnations.  Now named Zoë and Madison, they are able to remember some of their past-lives, are in spiritual contact with the mind aspect of their souls, called Starry and Blaze, and see whatever their mother sees, through her eyes. Well educated and wealthy, their dad, Isaac/Zak, is an archeologist seeking the scrolls copied-out by Zoë when she was Salome-Alexandra, the Queen of Israel.  He’s also trying to find the Urim and Thummin, those dice she rolled out to tell the future when she was the queen, as well as when she was Duanna, in Uruk (Mesopotamia), living her incarnation as the high-Priestess of Inanna.  Their mother, Jasmina/Jazzie, is a “sensitive” from a long line of women mystics who practice magic. Ultimately Jazzie sees auras, spirits, and ghosts in an effort to help her husband find those long lost items and to protect her unborn children.   She must, since the man, named Abraham Sharp—previously incarnated as Zoë’s son and in another past-life as Madison’s husband—is a billionaire in this life, using the practical magic of the Hebrew Kabbalah to find those same scrolls and dice.  Zoë’s resentments towards her twin brother, Madison, who once indirectly caused her to die from an overdose of opium when they lived as sisters in Egypt, and also more directly was the cause of her being burned at the stake during the Spanish Inquisition, are resolved.  But Abraham Sharp’s bitterness has festered for thousands of years and is only now being brought into the open for those old karmic debts to be paid—waiting for the people—souls—to be in the right place at the right time. 

What if it is true?  What if you don't go to Heaven…or Hell when you die?  What if karma does exist?  What if you do reincarnate into another life to try to learn about your past mistakes and get to balance out any of your or others' misdeeds?  In the Between is the story of a woman who dies and travels through the Bardo.  Meaning she is going from one life to the next.  The term Bardo comes from the Tibetan Book of the Dead.  Its meaning is loosely translated as: The In Between.  Souls travel through it for 49 days, during which time they are encouraged to accept any one of numerous heavens. But our soul, in the story, is not Buddhist, she is from the West.  Right from the start, as soon as she arrives at the Bardo, she is surprised to discover something startling about her soul. And being the kind of woman she's become through the countless lives—she believes she has lived—she developed her own belief system.  Based on her ideas about the Bardo she agrees to re-live her past lives that took place in Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Jerusalem, Istanbul, Spain, Brussels, France, England, the U.S., and India.  During those lives she discovers why she made choices causing karma that must be balanced in her future for further evolution of her soul.    She learns about the complexity of the soul and how thinking people develop their ideas about God, the universe, energy, but most importantly why souls on planet earth, at all.

THE TWINS ARE BORN.  Zoë and Madison's story continues On Another Turn on the Wheel when they are four years old—physically. But they remembered their past-lives.  And the time they spent In The Between—in the Bardo—passing from their last life into their current one.  The twins also know of the perils to be faced from the bitter soul, Abraham Sharp, encountered by their mother Jazzie, while she nurtured her babies in her womb.  As a result, they do not THINK, ACT, OR SPEAK like children. Abe Sharp is still stalking Zoë.  He's obsessed, seeking the scrolls and the Urim and Thummim, those ancient ivory dice-like cubes used to obtain divine answers. Abe is not interested in forming balance between heaven and earth.  He spent countless lifetimes with another soul he wants to entrap. Will Zoë's need to find the scrolls and the Urim and Thummim bring about the need to balance even more karmic debts?
