Dragon Dusk Series

An obscure legend speaks of a man with dragon wings. Fifteen hundred years ago the man ventured into our world searching for a companion, but none could be found. He left a statue of his likeness in the keep of the castle in the hopes that one day his companion would come to him. Christine wasn't one to believe in legends, and certainly not on her trip through the wilds of Wales. The tour package her friend picked out for them brought them to the castle where the winged figure stood, encased in stone and superstition. Superstition, however, couldn't explain the strange attraction she felt toward the handsome statue. Those stone eyes seemed to beckon to her, calling her to him with a force she couldn't deny, and which she wasn't sure she wanted to. A haunting dream and a single touch, and she's transported into a new world and a new life. Helplessness and confusion grip her heart as she finds herself under the power of the dragon, but there's something in his eyes that pleads with her to remain. Will her desire to return home triumph, or will she accept the fate that's been offered to her?

Fate has given Christine a chance at a new life in a fantastical world, but with every life comes its trials. When Tristan and she are approached by a woman pleading for their help, she soon learns more about the dangers of the magical world into which she's fallen. The woman brings with her a family heirloom, a box that has cursed and blessed her family for generations. She is the last of her line, and for the sake of her unborn child she pleads with them to lift the curse. They take the woman and box into their home, and that night Christine starts having strange dreams about a young man alone in the darkness. The dreams become more vivid as the dark aura of the box stretches its tendrils over the house, endangering not just their guest but all of them. While they try to solve the riddle of the box before the box consumes them all, the ellyll invite them to a feast at their fairy kingdom as thanks for saving their land. Tristan is reluctant to have them journey to their kingdom, as once there visitors aren't likely to leave, but Christine's curiosity leads them to accept. She is introduced to the lord and lady of the ellyll, and beneath the dark shroud of the forest the lady confides in Christine of a darkness that surrounds Tristan. It is a darkness that she must one day confront, for both their sakes.

Christine's magical life has gained her many friends and a budding romance with her dragon shifter, Tristan. One of those friends, the good Maddock, has come asking for a favor. Trouble brews in the city, and Tristan's intimate knowledge would help solve a puzzling rash of attacks. The catch is that those asking for his help don't really want it, and the mystery behind the attacks is deeper and darker than any of them realize.   Tristan reluctantly agrees to take the case, and Christine and he venture to the big city of Laethion, a metropolis of magic and steam power. There they find more foes than friends, and danger lurks in the shadows of the Alchemical Research School, the preeminent training grounds for alchemists.   As they search for clues to the attacks, Christine finds herself catching hints of Tristan's mysterious past, and even shadowy future. Pieces of the dark puzzle fit together and she begins to understand not only his creation, but her own purpose. A dark purpose that may destroy them both.

Questions linger in Christine's mind, questions that involve the dragon shifter whom she's come to love.  Tristan's fate is shrouded in shadows, and she begins to suspect that her own future is tied to his.   Those questions have to wait, however, when Tristan's well-guarded estate is infiltrated by the mysterious woman Christine has seen only from afar.  A tome is stolen, but more than that is a curse placed upon Christine, one that threatens her very soul.   Now to save herself and free Tristan from his dark fate, Christine must face one final test against the foe who has lurked in the shadows ever since her adventure began.  Their lives, and the future of her new world, hang in the balance, and one small slip will mean the end for all of them.
