    No Exceptions  is book three in the Bloom Chronicles by Jason Halstead.

     

    The Danis system has been an ignored, remote system for a reason. Moderate resources and removed from popular shipping lanes and only a single habitable planet made it not worth the effort. Until New Horizons targeted it as a place to colonize.

     

    New Horizons is famous for starting up new colonies and with the latest and great technology money can buy – and then collecting resources and taxes to recoup their investment multiple times over. Their business plan has been proven time and again, but they've never found a planet like Danis IV before. Never found a planet that someone else found first.

     

    Enter Nyx Bloom and her crew in a hunt to find and destroy the Etheros, an ancient civilization that forced themselves to extinction, were still around. What they found instead was a distress signal from two desperate survivors clinging to a primitive life isolated in some highlands.

    Rescue for the survivors was short-lived. Nyx still means to destroy the remnant of the Etheros and she needs their help to do it. The fate of the universe depends on it.
