In this high fantasy novel, two woodland elves, Matthias and Xandria, have enjoyed a peaceful life in their home village of Kredaria. But when Kredaria comes under a curse, the elves are sent on a dangerous quest to break the spell. They travel through a dead forest with dangerous shadow thieves waiting to suck the life out of them. That isn't the worst of their problems. They are side-tracked by a sworn enemy and cast into a world full of bizarre and deadly creatures. With time against them, will they make it back to their own world to continue the quest? Xandria, Matthias, and Gobed discover a kingdom that has been completely deserted. Xandria and Gobed enter the domain while Matthias gets sucked back in time. Xandria discovers that the kingdom has been cursed, while Matthias finds it thriving and filled with people. However, the area is under attack from a dragon. Somebody can only slay the beast if it happens in two different time frames. Can the three of them stop the dragon before the kingdom is forever cursed?
