Thol Series

Prophecy of Thol is set in Katy, TX, just west of Houston on I-10, and Thol, an exotic parallel world. Two scientists investigate the disappearance of 17-year old D'laine Jackson who disappears when a weather phenomenon pulls her into Thol. Creatures called Egroms shield her from blood thirsty Plotals. The Egroms bring her to their village in the Cember Forest. Ghury, their ancient leader, restores D'laine from a tragic accident from earlier in her life that had left her debilitated. D'laine tries to return to the portal, but tiny Kudaja warriors drop from the trees to capture her. She unwittingly uses The Voice and subdues them. Ghury rescues her from the Kudaja and brings her back to the village. The Egroms try to train D'laine to use her hidden abilities. Ghury is frustrated at her lack of powers. The Prophecy predicted a powerful warrior woman, but obviously, something changed in the Prophecy because D'laine is just a regular teenager. Herish (18), leading a patrol of Kudaja warriors riding on dragon borjos, rescues D'laine from a creature in the forest. A friendship sparks between Herish and D'laine. But, all is not what it seems with the Kudaja. After months of training, D'laine leaves the Egroms to explore Thol. She trains a pack of deadly diwal dogs using The Voice, and they join her on her journey. Trakon (18), a Ciertron warrior, discovers D'laine and the dogs while he flies overhead in a crestrider. Trakon and D'laine have had shared nightmares for many years, and immediately recognize each other. Herish and his patrol show up. Trakon despises Herish on sight. D'laine returns to Ebscalon with Trakon so she can experience a Tholian city. His parents welcome her with open arms, with plans of their own. D'laine has a premonition about a mighty battle with a formidable foe from another dimension. She must convince the Plotals to come together with the Egroms and humans to save their world. During the battle, the portal to earth opens. D'laine must choose between her love for Trakon, or return to Earth. She defeats the foe and chooses to go home. No one can console Trakon. D'laine gather's her family and a scientist and they return to Thol.

D'laine is happy that her family is settling in at the Egrom village and getting used to their new surroundings. She knows that Thol changes people from Earth who cross over so she's looking forward to finding out what their gifts will be. Lee and Stanley are on a quest to find Greg Claymore, the man who disappeared from Earth in 1952, returned in 1975 and left again. Victor, the scientist left behind on Earth, is frantic. His wife is terminally ill and he knows D'laine can heal her. He and Ben Joplin write a note and go to Coronado Beach where Claymore went through a portal. D'laine, Trakon and Stanley, bearing gifts, walk through the portal to Earth. But will they be able return to Thol? Will D'laine and Trakon get back in time to fulfill their marriage vows? Or, will they be stuck in a place that Trakon despises due to the noise, traffic, and pollution? The adventure continues.

Research uncovered that several hundred paths ago, King Jangston ruled all of Thol—not just the Ciertrons of Ebscalon. Everyone agreed something strange was going on with Lee. Finally, after the eight kingdoms, along with Ta'Byu'Vohon and the Cember Forest villages recovered from the devastating churling, Ebscalon introduced D'laine and Trakon's twins: Jesslin and Jor-Von. D'laine shocks everyone at the event, including her family and friends, with the startling revelation about evolutionary and physiological changes to come. Not everyone is happy about that. Foota sticks her head in Jamie's window. One of the twins needs help! The boys discover things that look like cantaloupes. They bring one back to the palace and Kitry freaks out. The Jackson children and their close friends get into trouble with everyone! A jarvust threatens the area. The Trangula storm the gates of Ebscalon. This is the first act of war since the Great War of Taylon.

Earth Calling Thol is book #5 in the Thol series. D'laine (19) and Trakon (20) celebrate D'laine's 2nd anniversary on Thol. Trakon takes her to the observatory she never knew existed, but leave it to Jamie, the little explorer, to know all about it. A New York publishing giant published Al's book Doorway to Thol which becomes an international best seller. Government agents read it. Now they're taking Al into custody to grill him about the portal at Coronado Beach in California. While he sticks to the story that the book is make-believe out of his wild imagination, the agents aren't buying it—they know all about Greg Claymore. They send a team of scientists and physicists to the beach. Disaster strikes!
